Jim Thorpe Burlesque Festival

I am soooo excited for the Jim Thorpe Burlesque Festival! Luckily it takes place very close to where I grew up in Pennsylvania and will be a good excuse to get up there and see the family.

I've only been to one other burlesque show and really enjoyed it. I have so much admiration for those ladies that can get up there on stage.
Not only am I excited to see the performers but there is also an area for vendors to sell their goods. I'm going to attempt to bring Flamingo Cupcake Studios to the festival and sell my jewelry and hair accessories. Fingers crossed!

Fake Lashes

I love a good pair of fake eyelashes. These came straight from Kat Von D's Tattoo Chronicles Palette. I wish I could wear them everyday!

Portlandia

Portlandia is one of those shows that I've been waiting for. I love Carrie Brownstein and her little outfits. If I can't have her in Sleater Kinney then I want her making me laugh. Sometimes, its even like laughing at myself, which I'm totally cool with. Watch this clip from the show and then the images of things I made below will make more sense.

TOTALLY GUILTY!!

A Great Idea!

My new etsy page, Flamingo Cupcake Studios, has been doing really well. That is probably why I haven't been blogging as much lately. I have so busy making necklaces and hair accessories and it makes me so happy! I found this old suitcase in my closet today and thought it would make a cute display for my work. I'm hoping to do a craft show this year (fingers crossed) so I think this would be a great look for a table!

An Etsy Wishlist

I've been eyeing up these sweet items for a little while now. I think I may have to treat myself to the Mini Heartlette Crown from Giant Dwarf. It would be the perfect accessory to wear out for our Valentines dinner!

I love a shout out!

The lovely burlesque dancer, Anja Keister, was nice enough to write about my etsy shops on her blog. Read all about it here.
