Suburbs

I'm waiting for my chocolate ganache cake to come out of the oven and I can't stop thinking about the new Arcade Fire album, Suburbs. I was thrilled to hear that it comes out on my birthday, August 3 (I guess that means by bday is on a Tuesday this year?). Suburbs is also the name of the first single, which is already being played on the radio station I listen to. Anyway, I kind of fell in love with them when Mark put one of their songs on a mixed CD for me years ago. I really like their last release, Neon Bible, but my favorite has to be Funeral. That album was pretty much the soundtrack for my long 3 hour drives alone to visit my parents. The combination of their voices and the stringed instruments are enough to give me goosebumps. Almost makes me want to pick up the violin again (I played for a few years when I was younger). Needless to say I am very excited for this release and if you are unsure of what I wanted for my birthday, this would be a good place to start. :)
